The Engineering Village is pleased to host the following events for first year engineering students:

ENGR[x] Seminars are designed to help engineering students develop skills that are most desired by employers.  ENGR[x] seminars and pop-up courses focus on career readiness and professional skills development with discussion topics that span leadership, communication, critical problem solving skills, teamwork and collaboration, interpersonal skills development and more.

All ENGR[x] seminars are from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The spring 2018 lineup includes:

    I'm getting the job. Now what? — What you should expect and what you should do now that you landed your internship/co-op/new job. Real life tips on how to excel at work and in life beyond school. 

Industry Tech Talks bring professional engineers from a wide range of industries to the Engineering Village @ The Commons. Tech Talks provide first year engineering students with opportunities to meet practicing engineers from various fields/business sectors and discuss their day-to-day activities to help students see examples of engineering applications in industry.  The program focuses on serving students who live in the Engineering Village, but all first year engineering students are welcome to attend.  

All Industry Tech Talk seminars are from 1:20 to 2:10 p.m. The fall 2017 lineup includes:
