Innovate Design Engineer Achieve for Society

The Women in Engineering (WE) IDEAS summer camp is a 6-day residential summer camp program  designed to give female high school students an opportunity to explore engineering as a career. Sessions will include hands-on activities with engineering faculty and female graduate students from 13 different disciplines. Tips on admissions requirements, college majors and career options for women in engineering will be discussed.

During the camp, students live on campus in residence halls, participate in group and panel discussions, visit engineering laboratories and complete a design and build project. Female engineering students serve as camp counselors and accompany camp participants throughout the day and during evening activities.

The College of Engineering at Texas A&M University will not be hosting a summer camp in 2016. To be placed on an interest list for WE IDEAS, please contact weoutreach@tamu.edu.
