SECURE—A Research Experience for Teachers

The Secure teacher Education on Cybersecurity by Utilizing Research Experiences (SECURE) is a six-week research experience for Brazos Valley high school teachers and community college faculty. This RET program provides an opportunity for the teachers and faculty to gain new knowledge and insights about engineering research in the area of cybersecurity. Participants will have the necessary tools and research to build new classroom curriculum related to cybersecurity at their respect institutions. The program goals are the following:

  • Increase cybersecurity curriculum offerings
  • Encourage more students to explore cybersecurity careers
  • Increase exposure to the broad range of cybersecurity applications

Eligible to Apply:

  • Secondary math, computer science, and CTE teachers from Allen Academy; and the Bryan, College Station and Navasota Independent School Districts
  • Engineering, math, and computer science faculty from Blinn College (Bryan Campus)

Mondays – Fridays, June 18 - July 27
