The Texas A&M University College of Engineering at Texas A&M hosts informational sessions for Junior FIRST® LEGO® League (Jr. FLL) and FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL). These meetings serve as a starting point for kids and parents interested in forming teams for the upcoming season.
We will discuss how programs like Jr. FLL and FLL excite teams to work with LEGO® elements and motorized parts, while building ideas and concepts to present for review at a sporting-style event.
Jr. FLL is for 6- to 9-year-olds or 1st - 3rd grade students and FLL is for 9- to 13-year-olds or 4th – 8th grade students.
These are programs designed to engage young students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Guided by adult coaches and mentors, Jr. FLL and FLL are great options for an after-school program. Teams can be formed within Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, schools, neighborhoods, or any other groups.
Our next Howdy FLL Jr. Expo and FLL Qualifier will be January 24, 2017.
