Industrial Affiliates Program

IAP - industry interacting with students and faculty

IAP provides opportunities for industry to learn about the exciting activities in computer science and computer engineering at Texas A&M through the department and classroom: recruiting events, classroom talks, talking one-on-one with students and faculty, and learning about the department's cutting-edge research.

In 2004, IAP was created to improve relationships between the department and industry and to improve the department’s knowledge of industry needs and practices. It also keeps industrial affiliates informed about the department’s research and teaching goals, helps the department better prepare students for real-world careers, assists the placement of students, and makes department/industry collaborations more likely. The department seeks to improve our knowledge of industry needs and practices to better help us prepare and place our students and to foster research collaborations.
