Richard Matus

Dr. Richard Matus, a 1980 graduate of Texas A&M University, has over 30 years of experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applications and development. Currently, he is a principal at Pointwise, Inc., developers of CFD preprocessing software, where he leads sales, marketing and technical support activities. Previously, Matus was product manager for RAMPANT, the first commercially-available, unstructured grid-based CFD flow solver at Fluent, Inc. Prior to that he worked at General Dynamics, where he developed a parabolized Navier-Stokes code and supervised and performed applied CFD for hypersonic flows on the National Aerospace Plane project. Dr. Matus earned a B.S. in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University in 1980, an M.Engr. in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M in 1981, and a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1986.
