Paul S. Hill '84

Hill WebvPaul Sean Hill earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in aerospace engineering, from Texas A&M University in 1984 and 1985 and was a member of the Corps of Cadets.  

He then served in the United States Air Force for four years in military satellite operations.  This led to a 25 year career with NASA.

His work at NASA started with developing space station construction techniques followed by leading flights from Mission Control as a Space Shuttle and International Space Station Flight Director from 1996 through 2005.  He supported 24 missions as a Flight Director, culminating as the Lead Shuttle Flight Director for the return-to-flight on STS-114 after the Columbia accident.

He went on to be Director of Mission Operations for all manned spaceflight, retiring from NASA in 2015.  

He is now a public speaker and executive consultant focused on applying Mission Control leadership principles in any industry.
