Engineering Academy at El Centro College and Richland College: Securing Your Admission

Eligibility

The Engineering Academy is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students that have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by El Centro College or Richland College. Students interested in the Texas-Chevron A&M Engineering Academy at El Centro College and Richland College must first secure admission to El Centro or Richland. 

First-time, full-time students should submit one of the following:

First-time and continuing students already enrolled through DCCCD who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form here. All TAMU engineering courses are taught at El Centro College. Math and Science courses may be taken through El Centro College or Richland College.

El Centro or Richland will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application and all supporting credentials to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions by June 30. Detailed information, instructions and contact info can be found on the El Centro College website .

Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Engineering Academy at El Centro College and Richland College and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.

Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and enrolled at El Centro College or Richland College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through El Centro College, Richland College and Texas A&M University-College Station.
