Engineering Academy at Austin Community College: Securing Your Admission

Eligibility

The Engineering Academy is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students that have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by Austin Community College. Students interested in the Texas-Chevron A&M Engineering Academy at Austin Community College must first secure admission to Austin Community College. 

First-time, full-time students should visit the Austin Community College website for the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy to apply. 

First-time and continuing students at Austin Community College who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should contact Dr. David Fonken, Dean of Science, Engineering and Math, at 512-223-7346 or fonken@austincc.edu about pre-qualification requirements.

Austin Community College will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application and all supporting credentials to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions by June 30. Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Engineering Academy at Austin Community College and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.

Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and enrolled at Austin Community College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through Austin Community College and Texas A&M University-College Station.
