Texas A&M Engineering Academies

The Engineering Academy program is the only engineering transition program of its kind in the United States. Unlike traditional transfer programs, students admitted into the Engineering Academies are Texas A&M College of Engineering students from day one!

The Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academies at Austin Community College, El Centro College and Richland College, Houston Community College, and Texas Southmost College and the Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham are currently accepting applications for fall 2017. The Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges will begin offering courses in fall 2018. Students are co-enrolled between two institutions, taking their math, science and core curriculum courses through the two-year institution, while taking engineering courses from Texas A&M faculty on the two-year campus. These Academies along with the local partnership with Blinn-Bryan increases the access and affordability to an Aggie engineering degree and contributes to the technologically trained workforce in Texas.
