Changing Majors

Currently Enrolled Students

Change of Curriculum within the College of Engineering

  • Students are encouraged to meet first with their current departmental academic advisor and discuss their intent to change majors.
  • Students should then meet with the departmental academic advisor of the major the student would like to change into.
  • If the new department agrees to accept the student, the new department will handle the required paperwork and will officially enter the change in university records.

Change of Curriculum Involving Two Colleges

  • Students should visit the departmental academic advisor of the major the student wishes to change into.
  • If accepted, that department will handle the paperwork and will officially enter the change in university records.

Change of Curriculum into Department of Transition Academic Programs

Students who wish to change into the Department of Transition Academic Programs and major in General Studies should visit their website for requirements and deadlines.
